Day 14: Saturday 11 April 2026 – Osaka to Kyoto
Day 16: Monday 13 April 2026 – Kyoto to Auckland.
This morning we sail into Honshu9s largest port city Osaka and disembark
Heritage Explorer.
We complete our Kyoto touring this morning with a visit to Nijo Castle,
before heading back to Osaka and Itami Airport.
On arrival we take in some of the main sights including Kuromon
Ichiba Shopping Street before a Dotonburi Street tour, We will have a
Okonomiyaki or similar meal for lunch (included). After lunch we will
visit Osaka Castle and this afternoon we will take the one hour trip to
Kyoto. On arrival in Kyoto we will visit Kiyomizu temple, Ninenzaka
and Sannenzaka before checking into our Kyoto Hotel. Later, we’ll
head out to dinner nearby (included)

Day 15: Sunday 12 April 2026
This morning, we continue our exploration of Kyoto, the historical
capital of Japan. Kyoto is famous for its historic sites, stunning
gardens and peaceful park settings. We will visit the Kyoto Imperial
Palace. We will have a lunch break – Japanese set lunch (included)
followed by a visit to Yasaka Shrine, Maruyama Park and Gion’s back
alleys. Dinner tonight is own arrangements.
