ITINERARY
Day 1: Sunday 29 March 2026 – Auckland to Tokyo
11.15am Depart Auckland – Air New Zealand
6:15pm Arrive Tokyo, Narita Airport
We will be met on arrival by our local guide and transferred by small
coach to central Tokyo and our hotel for the first two nights.
This brand-new hotel is located between the Ginza shopping area
and the very interesting Tsujiki markets. It is 400m from the Tsujiki
Station and 800m from Ginza Station. Each room is equipped with a
fridge, microwave and washer dryer combo (very unusual for Japan).
There is a restaurant on the 14th floor, and a Deli/Café on the ground
floor. You will find a gymnasium in the 2nd floor and a large public
bath area in the basement.
After returning to the hotel around 6:00pm for a refresh we will head
out to a local Yakiniku BBQ restaurant near the hotel for dinner
(included)
Day 3: Tuesday 31 March 2026 – Tokyo
This morning’s tour will visit the Tokyo Tower area, then the Tsukiji
Fish Market. We’ll head to a local restaurant for a seafood lunch.
(included). After lunch the tour will disperse at the fish market. Later
we will transfer to another hotel to meet up with the full passenger
group joining the cruise. Cruise check-in will be conducted this
evening before a full buffet dinner with other passengers. Heritage
Expeditions hotel to be advised.
Day 4: Wednesday 01 April 2026 - Embark and Sail to Shizuoka

Day 2: Monday 30 March 2026 – Tokyo Tour
Assemble in the lobby this morning to meet our guide for today’s tour
which will include an Imperial Palace Tour, Askakusa Temple,
Nakamise Shopping street, Meiji Jingu Shrine and Shinjuku and
Harajuku areas. We will stop for a lunch break in Shibuya (included).
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before exploring the world9s most populous
city as we celebrate cherry blossom season at some of the capital9s most
iconic destinations. This afternoon we will make our way to the Port of
Tokyo, where your Captain and Expedition Team will welcome you
aboard Heritage Adventurer. This evening, join the expedition team in
the Observation Lounge or up on the Observation Deck as we set sail for
Shizuoka.
